Hello! I’m Fate and I’m bad at introductions.
Small talks and opening spiels are the hardest for me. I tend to babble, ask uncomfortable questions or make inappropriate remarks to people I just met. Silently counting 1 to 5, taking a deep breath, and putting on a polite smile saved me from having more awkward first interactions.
I create IT solutions for a living, which includes any or all of the following: writing technical documentation, at least trying to bridge the gap between developers and users, or not confusing the next analyst. Contrary to popular opinion, not everyone in IT is powered by coffee, I don’t drink it and prefer tea instead. During college, I used to be an active member of a local open source community where I organized events and helped train students to be better student-leaders.
I will gladly listen to theories and discussions on Luffy and everyone onboard Sunny, Avatar: Aang the bald kid, and the misfit crew of the Waverider all day long. Growing up, I used books as an escape to household chores and looked up to Anne Shirley. Armed with a backpack and hammock, I try to travel solo to anywhere with saltwater whenever I can. I also waste my time watching too many sea turtle videos.
Writing soothed me more than ice cream and journaling proved to be an effective self-care technique when life becomes overwhelming. Reading and hearing stories allowed me to capture the experiences of people, connect with them and learn what may work or may not work for me.
Amor Fati – is a Latin phrase for ‘love of one’s fate’. Seeing my name on it allowed to me look at it as a personal manifesto and helped me put together my translation for it: ‘a love of what happens to Fate’. But loving everything that happens to oneself is not easy, and I still fail at that.
This blog is the undertaking: tales of how I tried and won, chronicles on how I tinkered on my failures and what I plan to do better the next time, why I feel and have the need to do and complete things, how I respond to instances that I can and cannot control, how I put a value on constants and variables and other narratives in between.
Send me an email to mail@fatecabag.com or fill in the contact form below. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Great-great-great granddaughter of Anne Shirley and Tribute from District 13. — same wishful thinking 😛

Finally, I got myself to follow you. Been pretty quite hard as the moment I pressed the follow button, it said that this blog is “private”. So I goggled your blog and hoooray. It’s no longer acrumpledpaper but “fatebacag”. Haha
By the way, we’ve had the same goal in reaching Philippines highest peak. haha Wishing to have you next year for this. 🙂 Happy blogging.

I used acrumpledpaper for several years before turning it into fatecabag so maybe that is why WordPress has some issues on linking my sites. HAHAHAHA!
I would start conquering peaks in Luzon this year and Mt. Apo the soonest!

Thank you! Listening (or rather reading) older people thoughts and life experiences is a privilege for the younger generation. In that way we are able to gain wisdom and first hand information.
